Alice Maud Hackwood's Autograph Book - Calligraphic Frontispiece - 1915

Transcription -

Alice M. Hackwood,
                          Wednesbury,

                                                   1915.

Note the inked initials: W.T. and the date : 2/6/15 (2nd June 1915).
Alice must have had this special calligraphic frontispiece
enscribed several months after having acquired the vacant volume.

I conjecture that the W.T. stands for William Thorpe.

Also penned, herein, by Alice :

A.M.H.
"The Life Beautiful"
8th March 1915
A.M.H.
"Suggest to the minds..."
(Darkly portentous close)
